2018 Delhi Auto Expo: Top Four Best Cars Soon To Hit The Roads
Most of the manufactures in the world are showcased the cars, bikes, trucks, buses, and new concepts and some manufactures are launched the new models for Indian market in on going 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. From these models, we can see top four best car models soon to hit the Indian roads.
4Mahindra Rexton
Mahindra has debuts the rebadged version of Rexton in 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. Technically, it is the second-gen SsangYong Rexton, but its in Mahindra brand. There is no difference between Ssangyong Rexton and this model, Its just rebranded to Mahindra. Once, its launched in India Rexton will be the flagship model from Mahindra.
Rexton is the body-on-frame product like most of the other SUVs from Mahindra. Compared to previous generation model, the new model have an improved build quality and approximately 50kgs lighter than previous model. And this model offers better fuel economy and improved aerodynamic design. This model powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine. It delivers the power of 178 Bhp and torque of 420Nm. The SUV also get a all-wheel-drive system. Transmission duties are expected to be covered by a six-speed automatic or a six-speed manual unit.
The Rebadged Mahindra Rexton will compete against the premium SUVs like Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner.
3Toyota Yaris
Toyota has revealed the Yaris at the ongoing Auto Expo 2018. The Toyota Yaris will be expect to launched in April 2018 and will compete against on the rivals of the Honda City, Hyundai Verna and the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
The Yaris’ design is inspired by the Corolla Altis and the Camry. On exterior, it gets large air dam, sleek grill, halogen projector headlamps with daytime running LED lights, LED tail lamps, integrated lip spoiler and etc,. On interior, it gets dual-tone beige and black-themed dash, 7-inch infotainment system and etc,. On the safety side, it gets 7 airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, vehicle stability control, hill-start assist, ABS with EBD, all-four disc brakes, front and rear parking sensors and etc,.
Toyota not revealed the engine and mechanical details of Yaris. But, this model expect to get 1.5 liter petrol and diesel motors. And this model expect to be priced around Rs 10 lakh.
2Tata Tiago and Tigor JTP
Tata has showcased the performance oriented sportier versions of Tiago and Tigor in 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. This versions are called as Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP (Jayem Tata Performance). Both cars get an updated styling package and performance package. The cars now sit lower than the regular models by 4mm.
The Tiago and Tigor JTP get redesigned dual-tone front bumpers with revised fog lamp housings, larger air intakes, red mirrors, black roof, 15-inch machine-cut alloys, vents on the hood, new tyres - 185/60 profile - for better handling and on interior it gets the new leather seats, leather steering wraps and aluminium pedals.
Mechanically, these models remains the same 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Revetron petrol engine, but with increased power output. This engine delivers max power of 110PS @ 5000rpm and 170Nm of peak torque at 1750-4000rpm and has a claimed fuel efficiency of 17kmpl. These models are available with same five speed gear box, but with different gear ratio. The suspension setup has been tweaked to give both cars a better ride.
1Honda Ameze
Honda Cars India unveiled the next generation 2018 Amaze at the ongoing Auto Expo 2018 in Greater Noida. And this model expect to hit the Indian roads in coming months. The new Ameze get the lot of design updates on both inside and outside.
The second generation Amaze is based on a new platform. And this model get entirely new front and side profile. And the rear slightly remembers the previous version of Ameze. This model borrows styling cues from Honda’s tenth-generation Accord. So, its look like premium sedan. Overall, it looks like a miniature tenth-gen Accord. This new generation Amaze defenitly will give the tough competition to the other models in the same market.
Mechanically this model remains the same 1.2 liter petrol and 1.5 liter diesel engine. While the petrol engine develops 87bhp of power and 109Nm of torque, the diesel engine develops 99bhp of power and 200Nm of torque. And Automatic gear box is available only in petrol engine.
