While we all like to believe that we possess high levels of intelligence, deciphering the competence of our brain power can be tricky. Many people turn to IQ Tests, which use tasks to measure various areas of intelligence, including:

• Short-term memory,
• Analytical thinking,
• Mathematical ability,
• Spatial recognition. 

Intelligent people possess a more refined form of thinking and are curious about almost everything. They want to understand other people, outer space, depths of the ocean, and everything in between. They always curious about things and often asks question themselves why it’s like that, why it’s happening and tries to figure out answer for that question. Always interested in discovering new things and developing. 

More and More studies are proving that people who often fear things might be more intelligent than those who don’t. It may be the case that this is a result of the fact that they’re always thinking about the possible consequences of their actions. Therefore they try to make sure everything turns out as best as possible. 

Forgetfulness is a sign often a sign of the highly intelligent. Think of every absent-minded professor you’ve ever met. Intellectuals tend to be preoccupied with other things. Forgetfulness isn’t the sign of a dullard but rather a brilliant mind of the women or man.

It turns out that there is a link between having a sense of humour and high intelligence. In one piece of research, around 400 students took an intelligence test, after they were asked to think up some amusing captions for scenes from cartoons. Can you guess whose captions turned out to be funnier? That’s right, it was those that scored higher on the test. 

Readers are sometimes perceived as being boring eggheads, But the chances are you are very smart, reading is the greatest tool we have for mental expansion.  Geniuses enjoy spending their time with a nose in a book because it enables them to learn new things.

The creative disorder is a concept that was established long ago. IT serves as a kind of ‘fuel’ for those with a creative nature. There is research that working in an untidy room actually fuels creativity. So don’t frighten away your inspiration with a grand clean-up, leave things the way you are Messy! 

It sounds funny, but it turns out that people who love to stay up at night generally have a greater intellect than the early birds. The ability to work and be creative at night, as is well known, was not given to us by nature. It’s for this reason that scientists reached that highly intelligent people go to bed later.

This isn’t to say that laziness is a sign of being smart. But it is fair to say that smart people simply don’t always have to try as hard as ‘strivers’ who fight to build up their skills. Basically, grasping power of intelligent people is always high so they don’t find difficulty in understanding more complex concepts. They don’t want to try hard, they just do it as easy as possible.

Have ever talked something about yourself to you in front of mirror? Once considered a sign of insanity, talking to yourself has shown to improve memory. People who talk to themselves are considerably smarter because when you speak to yourself loudly, it reinforces ideas, and it will become easier to remember things better the next time.

If you’re talk to yourself, you’re not crazy. You’re probably a genius!
