A remake of the 2013 Telugu film Prema Katha Chitram, the film was released on 15 January 2015. It got positive reviews and became a blockbuster at the box office. 7O Kadhal Kanmani
O Kadhal Kanmani (English: Oh Love, Apple of my Eye), also known as OK Kanmani, is a 2015 Indian Tamil romantic drama film written, directed and produced by Mani Ratnam. The film stars Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen in the lead roles, portraying a young couple in a live-in relationship in Mumbai. Prakash Raj and Leela Samson play supporting roles as an older couple in the film, portraying the younger couple's landlords. The film was said to be a "reflection of the modern mindset of urban India", dealing with issues such as marriage and traditional values. The film featured music composed by A. R. Rahman, cinematography by P. C. Sreeram and editing by Sreekar Prasad. Ganesh and Kalpathi S. Suresh under the production company AGS Entertainment, stars Jayam Ravi, Arvind Swamy and Nayanthara in lead roles. The plot revolves around IPS Officer Mithran who wants to arrest Siddharth Abhimanyu, an affluential scientist who uses hidden illegal medical practices for profit. The soundtrack was composed by Hiphop Tamizha. The cinematography and editing was handled by Ramji and Gopikrishna respectively. The film was released on 28 August 2015 to positive reviews from critics and became a blockbuster at box office. Vedalam (English: Demon) is a 2015 Indian Tamil action-masala film written and directed by Siva, and produced by S. Aishwarya. Ajith Kumar (known as Thala)and Shruti Haasan play the lead roles, with Lakshmi Menon, Ashwin Kakumanu, and Kabir Duhan Singh among others, appearing in supporting roles. Anirudh Ravichander composed the film's music and background score, while Vetri and Ruben were the film's cinematographer and editor respectively. Kaaka Muttai (English: The Crow's Egg) is a 2015 Indian Tamil comedy-drama film written, directed and filmed by M Manikandan. Jointly produced by Dhanushand Vetrimaaran and distributed by Fox Star Studios, it features newcomers, Vignesh and Ramesh, in the lead roles alongside Iyshwarya Rajesh. And has music composed by G V Prakash Kumar. Kaaka Muttai's story revolves around two slum children of Chennai, Tamil Nadu whose desire is to taste a pizza. The film had its world premiere on 5 September 2014 at the 39th Toronto International Film Festival, and was released worldwide on 5 June 2015, and received widespread acclaim for its story and cast performances. It went on to win two National Film Awards at the 2015 ceremony - Best Children's Film and Best Child Artist (Ramesh and Vignesh). I (also known as Shankar's I ) is a 2015 Indian Tamil romantic thriller film written and directed by S. Shankar and co-written by Subha. Produced and distributed by V. Ravichandran under his production company, Aascar Films, the film features Vikram and Amy Jackson in lead roles while Suresh Gopi, Upen Patel, Santhanam and Ramkumar Ganesan portray pivotal roles. The soundtrack and film score were composed by A. R. Rahman. Production design was handled by T. Muthuraj. P. C. Sreeram was the film's cinematographer and editing was done by Anthony. The visual effects were designed by V. Srinivas Mohan through Rising Sun Pictures. Weta Workshop had worked on the digital and prosthetic make-up and background arts for the film. Principal photography commenced on 15 July 2012. The filming lasted for two years and eight months, during which shooting was done extensively inChina. Baahubali: The Beginning is a 2015 Indian bilingual epic historical fiction film directed by S. S. Rajamouli. Produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni, it is the first of two cinematic parts. The film was simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil and dubbed into Hindi, Malayalam and French languages. The film made on a budget of ₹120 crore (US$18 million) released worldwide on 10 July 2015 to positive reviews from critics, and became the highest grossing Indian film within India and third highest grossing Indian film globally. It became the first south Indian film to gross over ₹600 crore (US$90 million) worldwide and the first non-Hindi film to gross over ₹100 crore (US$15 million) in dubbed Hindi version in India. It is also the highest grossing Telugu film of all time. This film deserves 1st place based on the Box office collection (est. 600crore) in the year of 2015.
